Völkl Rocker Designs

SERIES: RTM, FREESKIING
WHAT IT IS: A smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail with matching sidecut and flex.
WHAT IT DOES: Extended Low Profile (ELP) gives the skier all the benefits of added maneuverability in soft snow while also delivering smooth, graceful arcs on groomed terrain. How? By matching the flex and sidecut with the full rocker (long, gradual bend from tip to tail) profile, the skier gains full, uninterrupted edge contact. The more you put the ski on edge, the more effective the edge becomes. The resulting smoothness and predictability is truly uncanny.

On a flat ski the skier has complete directional freedom, and exceptional maneuverability in deep snow.
The more you put it on edge ...
... The more efficient the edge becomes!

SERIES: CODE, FREESKIING Pipe and Park
WHAT IT IS: A slight rocker bend in the tip and tail, complemented by traditional camber under foot.
WHAT IT DOES: With a slight rocker in the tip and tail, combined with a classic camber profile under the foot, Völkl engineers have created the ideal blend for frontside carving. Easy, smooth turn entry and exit, with acceleration and rebound as well. While not as maneuverable in soft snow as our full rocker designs, this rocker design is best utilized on hard snow or in the park and pipe.

SERIES: FREESKIING
WHAT IT IS: An early-rise tip design.
WHAT IT DOES: For high performance all-mountain freeskiing, the combination of an early rise tip and a classic camber profile in the rest of the ski provides easy, smooth turn entry regardless of conditions. In softer snow the ski is incredibly forgiving, floats better, and requires less energy to ride.

SERIES: RTM
WHAT IT IS: An early rise tip combined with a softer tail section.
WHAT IT DOES: Völkl's game improvement rocker design features an early rise in the tip combined with a softer tail section. Added to more models for 11/12, Progressive technology gives the intermediate to advanced skier the best of both worlds: ease of turn entry, smooth ride quality from the rockered tip, and easy, comfortable turn exit thanks to the softer tail section. All these characteristics contribute to less fatigue, allowing the improving skier greater enjoyment.

PROGRESSive Flex
At the tail, the ski's profile becomes very thin in the middle - torsionally soft for the last 7cm, allowing the skier to exit the turn at will. The ski accelerates less aggressively out of the turnto help prevent the skier from sitting in the proverbial “back seat”. The skier can makebetter turns with less effort.
PROGRESSive Edge
Progressive Edge utilizes an early rise concept in the tip of the ski. Bringing the widest part of the ski up a little higher ensures easier directional stability, and the tip only engages when the ski is on edge, adding to the skier's comfort level.

SERIES: FREESKIING
WHAT IT IS: A traditional camber line.
WHAT IT DOES: Skiers can still enjoy the feel of traditional camber. While not as silky-smooth as a rockered ski, full camber provides stability and acceleration for skiers wanting a more classic ride quality.
