Jenn Berg

  • When I slide on my Volkl skis, I discover my inner peace, my "happy place'. I have found a deep passion for remote adventure skiing that requires heli's, skins or snowmobiles to access terrain. Primarily I am focused on the ski decent but I also enjoy the unique stories that develop and evolve from an epic ski day (dawn missions, etc.) Once the snow melts, I enjoy motoing, mountain biking, hanging with my husband, dog and family/friends in Cali. I spend a lot of time on the computer doing analytics for search engines (Google / Bing), as well as getting all artistic with photos and videos. Overall, I am a mellow girl who loves nature, good coffee and positive vibes.

  • What is your favorite ski in 2011/2012 Collection?
    Volkl Shiro
  • Why do you like this ski?
The Shiro is a stand out ski because it excels in a variety of conditions, definitely not one dimensional. The versatility of the Shiro will deepen a skiers confidence level, as it has for me.
  • What conditions do you use this ski for?
Powder, crud, windbuff, carving groomers. This is the perfect all-mtn / backcountry / side-country ski as it is light weight yet stable.
  • What other skis in the 2011/2012 collection do you ride?
    Katana & Kuro
  • Can you tell us a little about each pair of skis, and about what sort of conditions you use them for?
Kuro -> My BIG mountain ski! I use this ski whenever I heli-ski or on deep blower Wasatch powder days. Super fat, super rocker'd, super Good!
Katana -> I love my Katana's! This ski bombs through anything in its path. I love the shape, flex and sturdy weight of the Katana. This is my go-to ski for charging around Alta & Snowbird.
  • What bindings do you use and where do you mount them?
Marker Jester and Marker F12...I mount both bindings +1 of center
  • What DIN do you have your bindings on?
    11 Din.
