Motion Systems
1. The Wide Ride interface is 30% wider than the original iPT. It was developed specifically for skis 80mm and wider.
2. The toe and heel pieces for the Wide Ride system are the same design as those of the Marker Duke and Jester freeride bindings. The components contribute to better performance with a more secure wrap on the boot lug, and increased directional elasticity in the heel.
3. Lighter weight, shorter connection to the ski. Both the toe and heel components are extremely light, allowing the skier to have a very wide ski that is as easy to handle and maneuverable as a narrower system. This is also aided by the short overall length of the system.

Motion iPT (Internal Power Transmission) combines ease of ski flex
with power and sensitivity. Engineers built the binding interface into
the ski body, then created a system that slides into position on the ski.
Inside the ski, the interface creates a rigid connection that results in
better performance in any snow conditions. The sides of the interface
rest directly on top of the chambers of the Extended Double Grip
construction, for direct energy transfer.
Motion iPT SpeedRide was developed for skis with up to 79mm waist
widths. The system features a wider interface than the original iPT, plus the
Triple Pivot Comfort toe, based on the Triple Pivot Elite toe of Marker's
Royal Family bindings. Shorter and lighter than the four linkage toe of the
past, it offers enhanced power transmission. SpeedRide features either
the Inter-Pivot heel in the 12.0, or the Twincam heel in the 11.0 TC.
The 3Motion system takes what Völkl engineers learned in creating
Motion iPT and applies it to our mid-range skis. A segmented interface
makes it possible to deliver better performance through more uniform
ski flex under the foot. 3Motion was developed in conjunction with Power
Grip construction technology, which, like Extended Double Grip, utilizes
more material over the edge to provide better edge grip.
Developed jointly by Marker and Völkl specifically to fit the new Racetiger
models. Not surprisingly, it draws most of its features from World Cup
components. rMotion ensures the maximum contact width via a new race
plate that is a hybrid between the Marker World Cup plate and a Motion system.
The plate functions just like a race plate, giving the skier additional leverage,
plus acceleration at the end of the turn.
