Anastasia Tatalina

A freeskier raised in Moscow, Russia without any mountains around. However, since I was young I was always doing sports. My mother had me doing gymnastics at the age of 4 and as of now my parents Aleksandr and Oksana are supporting me as a professional athlete. I have tried a lot of sports; gymnastics, acrobatics, and dancing.

At the age of 12, I first tried skiing at Moscow's hill. And I really liked it. At the age of 13, I did my first cork720. At the age of 16, I started competing for the National Team. I became the first-ever athlete from my country to win at the 2018 Worlds Junior Championships in Big-Air and became Vice-World Champ in my second discipline - Slopestyle. And became a World Champ in 2021 and the first woman who made both ways double cork 12.

It's not important what a person knows more important what he's responsible to do.

Andrea Filser

Andrea Filser is a german alpine ski racer who started her career in 2008. In 2012 she participated the first time in the World Cup. Since then she started 15 times in the World Cup and 91 times in the European Cup. Her biggest breakthrough in her ski career was to earn her first World Cup points. In the season 2019

Stemming from Laax, the undisputed freestyle capitol of Switzerland, and born into a freeski family – he has both an older sister and an older brother who are successful freeski pros in their own right – it was kind of unavoidable that Andri Ragettli would become a great freestyle skier. Nevertheless, it is mind-blowing how quickly he has moved to the forefront of the freeski scene. Andri, who embraces every action sport his hometown has to offer from skating to mountain biking, continues to progress at this pace, there seems to be no limit to his potential.

Anita Gulli is a young and ambitious Italian alpine skier who started her career in 2014. In 2019 she participated for the first time in the World Cup.

Since then she started eight times in the World Cup and eighteen times in the European Cup. In 2019 she was able to win two FIS Races and achieved one-second and one-third place.

Being born and raised in the best place in the world Wanaka New Zealand, I fell in love with skiing at an early age. With my dad being an ex-worldcup mogul skier, I was drawn to the freestyle aspects of skiing. I quickly fell in love with competing and especially halfpipe skiing. I have a younger brother Luca whom I always like to ski with because we both push each other to be the best possible skiers we can be. These days I like to spend my northern hemisphere seasons based out of Summit County Colorado, it's a really cool place with good training and also super nice terrain when we get dumped on. I am lucky enough to come home during the Southern Hemisphere winters and get to enjoy time back in my hometown.

Born in Switzerland the connection to the mountains was there and I started skiing 3 years old and climbing 11years old. During highschool I did some competition climbing and at the same time developped mountaineering and alpine climbing skills. Soon it was clear that the mountains were my absolute passion. I did my first expedition when I was 16 years old to Aconcagua. After this many more followed to remote places to open new routes, climb unclimbed peaks and ski interesting lines. These expeditions brought me to the Indian Himalaya, Patagonia, Iran, Alaska, BC, Antarctica,... If I am not away on an expedition or climbing somewhere around the world, you find me in the Alps always looking for new challenges or sharing my passion while guiding. I was member of the first female expedition team of the German Alpine Club and I am a Swiss IFMGA Mountain Guide.

I was born in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, a little place called Aspen! I was on the hill by the age of 3 and pretty much never looked back. As I entered my college years I opted to attend the university of Alta where the only curriculum was to ski as much powder as possible. It was there that my skiing acceled and I was able to work with some professional photographers and land my first big breaks! I'm a 17 year old kid from Wanaka, New Zealand that simply loves to ski. My dad is a heli-ski guide and also an Avalanche Safety Instructor while my Mum is a midwife who also loves to ski! Therefore, skiing has been a huge part of my life from the get-go. It started as just a family activity but as I got older, my brother Hank and I started pushing each other even harder. Being the younger sibling I've always strived to beat my older brother in all aspects of life. The rivalry I shared with my brother transferred into competitions and I think it's really helped me to become a better competitor.

These day's I'm lucky enough to travel around the world competing with the New Zealand National Freeski Team following my dream. Coming from New Zealand I'm away from home for about 5-6 months of the year which is hard being away from friends and family but I wouldn't change it for the world. From a young age this what I've always wanted and I'm so thankful to be able to live the dream.
I hope to compete in the Olympics and X-Games some day and be considered one of the worlds best whilst pushing the sport in a positive direction. Yeeew!

I am a 20-year-old Freeskier from Flims-Laax in Switzerland. I finished my education as a metalworker this year. My friends and family are also deeply involved in freesking and therefore I have been able always to go skiing mostly with them. I started skiing with two years and have been skiing since. My first twintips I received when I was ten years old and never changed back to normal skies. I love freeskiing in the winter and in the summer my passion is downhill biking. In freeskiing my main discipline is Freeride and since I won the junior world championships with 18 years, it gave me even more motivation to concentrate into this discipline.

Ian McIntosh

Ian McIntosh has built up a reputation over the last few years as a bit of a charger.

"Doubt kills more dreams
than failure ever will."

His ability on skis doesn't really come as much of a surprise when you look at his background. Ian's entire family is ski mad, and growing up in the Kootenays in British Columbia, Ian had no shortage of ski days. Even today his 82-year-old grandfather is still teaching! Immersed in the race scene from an early age, it is easy to see where he got both his love for speed and his technical ability.
However, Ian always found himself drawn to the powder and really broke into the scene after heading to New Zealand to do a winter season. Here he entered the World Heli Challenge and met a fellow Canadian, Pierre Yves LeBlanc who persuaded him to try a season in Whistler. Ian did exactly that and tried his hand at Big Mountain competitions, culminating in second place at the Verbier Xtreme 2004. This opened up the chance to film with industry leaders TGR in 2005, and Ian scored the opening segment in "Anomaly" at first go. Ever since he has been a regular in TGR's groundbreaking movies. In the Summer, Ian McIntosh can be found mountain biking near Pemberton, B.C.

Ingrid Backstrom

The American has set the standard of the sport for girls in recent years with outstanding video segments, a benchmark that still remains untouched.

It wasn't obvious in her youth, that Ingrid would go this way. While growing up in Seattle, she was skiing often in the surrounding areas, but when she went to Squaw Valley after graduating from college in 2000, she only intended to do one year of skibumming.

It all began with some freeride contests, where the trail running fan did very well despite not being the typical competition type. Her skiing caught the eye of video producers Matchstick Productions and in 2004 she entered the scene with a bang. Her incredible segment in MSP’s “Yearbook” earned her Powder Video Awards both for “Best Female Performance” and “Breakthrough Performance”. In the following years Ingrid kept pushing her limits, straightlining whole AK faces, dropping big cliffs with front- or backflips, simply doing things that before only men would do while skiing big mountains. Ingrid Backstrom has legitimised to call female skiers real big mountain rippers, and is far from being finished!

Born and raised in a ski resort in Sälen, Sweden I have been skiing all my life. My first time on skis was at the age of two and I've loved it as long as I can remember. After ten years racing internationally and competing in the Torino and Vancouver Olympics, I retired from the World Cup in 2010. I wanted to explore the mountains without gates and courses dicating where and when I could turn. Post racing I fell even deeper in love with skiing when I discovered the beauty and adventure of the backcountry. Kevin Rolland

Kevin Rolland is one of the world's most accomplished pipe skiers and the leader of the French SuperPipe revolution, Rolland owns a grand total of nine X Games medals including Gold in 2016, 2011, and 2010. Known as the "Flying Frenchman" he is a progressive risk taker with a killer work ethic that helps him stay at the top, year after year. My name is Lyman Currier, I'm a 22 year old freeskier from Boulder, CO. I was lucky enough to grow up in an extremely active city, so close to the mountains, which really solidified my love for the outdoors at a young age. My father, an Olympic skier himself, took me out on the slopes for my first time at the ripe age of 18 months. Little did we know he had sparked the addiction that lives inside all skiers and snowboarders alike, an addiction to deep pow, testing the limits of air and speed, and being outside with your friends on the coldest winter days. Markus Eder

Markus Eder is the first Italian new school freestyler to reach international recognition.

At first sight, Markus Eder is a typical Italian from Southern Tyrol. He was born in Bruneck and raised in Luttach in the nearby Ahrntal valley, where he still lives today. He started skiing at the age of four, was an alpine racer for many years and enjoys rock climbing in the summer. He even loves pizza and ice-cream. However, a few winters back something diverted his typically Italian path. He discovered freeskiing! Five years later Markus Eder is the first Italian new school freestyler to reach international recognition becoming the Freeride World Tour Champion in 2019.

Markus Salcher

Markus Salcher is an Austrian alpine skier and Paralympic Champion. The Austrian carries alpine skiing in his blood. His father was a coach of the Austrian team at Torino 2006 and his brother Moritz also competes in alpine skiing for an Austrian sports club.

Due to the sportive background of his family, Markus's first attempts on skis were undertaken early in life. At the age of only three years, the first turns on skis were carved into the snow. The local ski club (SV Tröpolach in the Nassfeld skiing area) and his family helped to develop a solid skiing technique as well as a passion for the sport early on. The first racing experiences were gained at the age of five when Markus began to compete in local skiing cups against non-disabled age-peers. Even though these first races were not overly successful, the motivation to pursue a professional career as a skier did not wane. The first contacts to the field of professional disabled sports were made during the winter of 2000. Since the 2003 / 2004 winter season Markus has been an active athlete member of various teams of the Austrian Skiing Federation (SV). In addition to Markus's personal ambition and self-motivation, the Sports-High School (SSLK Klagenfurt) needs to be credited with a big share in the development of the young athlete's personal and athletic skills, from first semi-professional training programs to the acceptance into Austria's National Skiing Team. He competed in the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi, Russia, where he won two gold medals and one bronze medal as well as two bronze medals in Pyeongchang 2018.

I started skiing and climbing at the age of 3 togheter with my father
At 5 I did my first ski races,
so my skiing career started.

After I finished racing at the age of 17,
I finally had more time to combine skiing and mountaineering.

From then on the mountains never let me go:
Freeriding, ski touring, climbing, mountaineering, etc.
All of this became my passion, I became an alpinist.
The logical step was the education to become a certified mountain and ski guide, canyoning guide, and certified ski instructor

When I was a kid, I quickly understood that skiing was the best game in the world. Pleasure was always my goals during my ski days, holidays, weekends.

Everyday as soon as I came out from school, I had to escape on the slope, pretty easy for me because I lived 5 minute from the lift.
My dad forwarded me his spirit competition. After few years in alpine ski, I noticed that my true happiness was to go out from the slope, where everything Is free and calm.
That why I do Freeride now, to let escape my personality in the pow.

Nadine Wallner

Nadine Wallner stems from the small village of Klosterle just west of the famous Arlberg region in Western Austria, where she still lives today. Thus one could say that Nadine is a natural born freerider. In her childhood years she honed her skiing skills as an alpine racer, but her father, a local mountain guide, took her out into the backcountry early on and set the tone for the years to come. Despite being only 23 years old, Nadine already holds a full degree as an Austrian Ski Instructor. Even more surprising is her impressive list of success at freeride competitions, though. While it normally takes big mountain freeriders several years to build up enough experience and confidence to be successful, Nadine Wallner won her first freeride competition 2011 and went on to win the Freeride World Qualifier events in Nendaz and at the Kitzsteinhorn 2012. Her real motivation for the lifestyle of a professional freerider, however, is her love for nature and mountains and therefore Nadine looks forward to travel the world for film and photo shoots just as much as competing on the Freeride World Tour this season. Nick Goepper

It is the quintessential American success story. A boy from a small town sets out to conquer the world. The boy in this case is Nick Goepper and the small town goes by the name Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Although Nick grew up in a rather flat, Midwestern area, he started skiing by the age of five and was captivated. By the age of 15, he went to the West Coast to try his luck as a freeskier. Soon he proved to be one of the most talented freestylers of his generation and began to make his presence felt at slopestyle competitions across the US. In 2011.

12-season Nick bagged several podiums including a silver medal at X Games. The following year he stepped up his game to win X Games Gold and in 2014 he managed to repeat this feat. At the biggest event yet in the history of the sport, the Winter Olympics 2014, Nick delivered what might have been the most technical run in freeskiing yet, however it was only good enough for the Bronze medal. Nevertheless, he became a big media star as part of the US podium sweep in men's slopestyle, only the third for the country at the Winter Olympics in history.

Øystein Bråten

It seems as if Norway breeds freestyle talent, whether they are on one or two planks. Øystein Bråten decided on the path of two planks early on, while his brother went for snowboarding. Together they shredded homemade setups in their garden, and this dedication most definitely paid off, as both are professional athletes in their chosen field. Growing up in the small village of Torpo, between the famous ski areas Hemsedal and Geilo, Øystein quickly found his way into the Norwegian freeski scene and his ascent to the top began. In 2010 and 2011 he became Norwegian champion in Slopestyle and this year he won the X Games Gold in Aspen and X Games GOLD in Noway. At just 22 years old, he is considered one of the biggest talents in the international freeski scene.
