Blaze Collection

Untouched slopes and deep snow in open terrain - more and more skiers prefer to ski off-piste. The Blaze line enables an absolute off-piste feeling for intuitive and short-turn orientated skiers and offers one of the lightest freeride skis in its class and is therefore ideal for every freeride fan who also likes to choose winding descents when powder skiing and is therefore looking for an agile ski.

Blaze 94 and 104 offer pure freeride enjoyment. They support the skier especially on short turns and can be turned more effortlessly than a comparable titanium ski. This is supported by a weight of just 1455g (Blaze 94) or 1800g (Blaze 104) which not only contributes to the manoeuvrability of this new ski category, but also makes ascents on the way to the most beautiful descent easier. Power transmission and resistance to interference are at the level that a sporty freerider expects.

The new models in the popular Blaze freeride product line are therefore the ideal choice for all-mountain skiers looking for a playful and easily accessible alternative to classic titanium skis. Völkl also places great emphasis on sustainability with both models, including improved durability, a base made from recycled materials, fully FSC-certified wood and the new Green Core technology.

Sustainability at Völkl

The two new models - like the Blaze 114 - also score highly in terms of sustainability thanks to Green Core technology: all the wood used in the ski is FSC-certified and is glued with an environmentally friendly adhesive. In addition, the core is made from materials that do not come from a recycling process - all parts that are neither wood nor environmentally friendly glue are made from recycled PET bottles. Thanks to the recycled base and tip-to-tail wooden core, the use of plastics has been minimised and mainly natural wood has been used. Thanks to innovative material technologies, the product developers have also made significant progress in terms of the durability of the models and made them even more resistant.

In addition, the entire production is based on renewable energy - the factory in Straubing is supplied 100 per cent by the local Danube hydropower plant Kagers. Since 1 January 2024, the company has also been using CO2-compensated gas to actively contribute to the reduction of climate-impacting emissions and achieve the goal of climate neutrality. Völkl is thus taking a further step towards more sustainable ski production.
